Personality Type

Seek to develop logical explanations for everything that interests them. Theoretical and abstract, interested more in ideas than in social interaction. Quiet, contained, flexible, and adaptable. Have unusual ability to focus in depth to solve problems in their area of interest. Skeptical, sometimes critical, always analytical.

An INTP’s learning is improved when:
  1. Learning is systematic and intensive
  2. They work independently with the study material
  3. Material is delivered at a moderate pace (INTPs can get distracted, trying to come up with a theoretical connection between pieces of information)
  4. The subject significantly expands and deepens their knowledge and understanding of the topic and is presented on a conceptual basis
An INTP’s learning is hindered when:
  1. Material is trivial (sharply reduces interest)
  2. The knowledge gained does not significantly broaden and deepen their understanding in the given field
  3. They participate in group work with the study material
